![]() Any ideas? I cannot find any loose or bad vacuum hoses. The vibration actually got worse after I replaced the motor mounts. New air filter, oil and filter and the transmission fluid is full. The plugs, wires, firing coils and distributor are new (replaced 2 months before this problem started) all the motor mounts are new, new brakes, belts, tires and 4 wheel alignment. When at a stop I notice that using the AC or turning the steering wheel seems to add to the load and the RPM fluctuates sometimes to the point where I think the car will stall. If I rev my engine to about 1000 RPM the vibration smooths out. ![]() My car idle is set about 650 RPM at a stop in gear. It has a bad vibration when idling, Once the car starts driving the vibration is no longer noticeable. I have a 2002 Mazda 626 4 cyl with 85,000 miles. ![]() 1) Bad service-Does not pay me, and means you had a negative experience 2) Poor service-Does not pay me, and means you had a negative experience 3) Ok service-Pays me and means you had an "OK" experience 4) Good Service-Pays me and means you had a positive experience 5) Excellent service-Pays me and means you had an Excellent experience Again, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to reply by using the "CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION" button.Original Post: 2002 Mazda 626 4 cyl with 85000 miles Please rate my service as number 5 "Great service" or "Excellent service" for providing you timely accurate information specific to your vehicle or use the reply button to continue the conversation. Click here I am glad I could help! It has been a pleasure working with you. Here is a picture of a cooling system pressure checker. likely to be inside the crank case inside the combustion chamber. If it leaks down but there are no external leaks in the system, this is most likely caused by an internal coolant leak. Your best bet is to get the cooling system pressure checked using a cooling system pressure checker. possibly with the coolant mixture you re talking about. If not, you could have incorrect valve timing or a flooding condition. Also, if the engine has spark when cranking it over, see if it runs on starting fluid. You are going to have to check to be sure that the oil and coolant are not mixing with each other. if the spark plugs have coolant on them even after they were cleaned off or replaced after doing this cylinder head gasket job, then you have coolant leaking into the combustion chamber for some reason. whats happened to my car? Submitted: 9 years ago. but now when i try to start it you can hear the starter spinning away but thats it. i noticed what seemed to be coolant on the spark plugs when i changed them and one spark plug looked to be shorted out kinda. so i figured that was it so i started driving my car for about 45 min and it started to over heat again only this time it stopped accelerating and when i pulled off the side of the road it died and now it wont start at all i have replaced the head gasket i have replaced the thermostat and the spark plugs and lines. so i did that and the bubbling had stopped. This is about a 2002 mazda protege i was driving and my car started to over heat so i pulled off the road and noticed the over flow for the coolant was bubbling so i went to autozone to see what they thought they said i blew a head gasket or i have air in the system and to figure it out i wask to park on a hill take my radiator cap off and run the car for about 20 min.
